  •  When you hear the Call Waiting tone, quickly press and release the FLASH key or switchhook (“hang up”) button to put the first call on hold and answer the second call.
  • Press FLASH again to switch between callers.
  • Press *70 and listen for three short tones, then a regular dial tone.
  • Press the FLASH key to put your call on hold.
  • Listen for three brief tones and a normal dial tone, then press *70.
  • Press and release FLASH again to continue your original call without Call Waiting interruptions.

  •  When you hear the Call Waiting tone, the display shows the name and number of the person calling.
  • Allow one full ring for the caller’s information to show up on the display.
  • If you don’t want to answer the second call, the display unit remembers the caller’s information, so you can call back later.
  • If the second call is one you want to answer, quickly press and release FLASH or the switchhook to put the first call on hold. This also answers the second call.
  • Pressing FLASH or the switchhook again lets you alternate between callers.
  • To disconnect the service temporarily, just press *70 (for rotary phones, dial 1170) and listen for three short tones followed by the regular dial tone.
  • Dial the phone number you wish to call. Anyone else who calls you will hear a busy signal, or go into your Voice Mail.*

  • When someone calls, a display attached to your phone shows the name and number of most callers after the first ring.
  • The name and number of a caller is automatically stored in memory, even if you’re not there to answer.
  • If you see UNKNOWN, UNAVAILABLE or OUT OF AREA, the person is calling from an area where Caller ID is not available.

  •  You can order up to 4 different phone numbers for your household, without any additional equipment or wiring.
  • Assign one of the phone numbers to each person who would like to identify their calls.
  • Each phone number will have a different sounding ring.
  • Each phone number can have its own listing in the White Pages too.
  • Avoid interrupting what you’re doing unless it’s for you.
  • Make one number your business line, so that you can always answer that ring in a professional manner.
  • Let your teenagers or roommates answer their own calls.
  • Protect your privacy – with your own ring, only you need to know who’s calling.
  • If you work at home or get calls from the office, you can regain your personal time by not answering your “business” ring after hours.

  1. From the Main Menu, press 4 Personal Options.
  2. Press 9 Extensions.
  3. Press 1, 2 or 3 for the extension you want to set up first.
  • Record a name for this extension.
  • Choose a greeting for this extension: 1- Standard Greeting with name, 2- Record a Personal Greeting
  •  First, you have to personalize your mailbox before you can use it.
  • Call your Voice Mail.
  • Enter your extension’s Security Code (1- Keep this code?, 2- Enter a new one)
  • Your extension’s name will play. (1- Keep this name?, 2- Record a new one)
  • Follow the steps for “Listening to Messages” in your Voice Mail Instruction Guide.
  • Enter your own Extension’s security code.
  •  Follow the Send instructions in your Voice Mail Instruction Guide.
Back to menu LAST CALL RETURN
  • To find out the number of your last caller, lift the receiver and press *69.
  • You’ll be given the phone number of the caller, even if you couldn’t answer the call. Blocked numbers will not be announced.
  • If you decide to return this call, simply press 1 and your phone will dial the number.
  • If the call you’re trying to return is busy, hang up, and your phone will continue to redial the busy line for up to 30 minutes.
  • When the line is no longer busy, a distinctive ring lets you know. Simply pick up the phone and the call will connect.
  • If you don’t want your phone to keep redialing the number, press *89 at any time to cancel.
Back to menu LINE BLOCKING
  • For your protection, 911 caller identification can identify the number you’re calling from, even if the line is blocked.
  • Blocking does not prevent your telephone number from being sent to 1-800 and 1-900 types of numbers.
  • Press *82.
  • Call Rejection* allows you to avoid unwanted callers.
  • Priority Call* lets you assign a special ring to important callers.
